Lontano (Italian for "distant" or "far away") features Anthony Dettori (The Sunburys) and Roz Pappalardo (Women in Docs, The Soldier’s Wife), who live 1000 miles apart but share Italian heritage and a passion for spacious, earthy, alt-country storytelling.
The duo's eponymous debut album is an accidental soundtrack for our times - a collection of engaging duets, exploring the impact of distance and celebrating the emotional gravity that tugs at the space between people.
Each story emerging from the Lontano project was constructed through remote collaboration, with the two different frames of reference birthing a separate narrative, neither fact nor fiction, but still viscerally personal for both songwriters.
