Recording in your space, in your time, at your convenience.
The days of big recording studios are over. With a bit of insider knowledge, you can get the same results in a space that’s comfortable for you. Whether you want to head out to an abandoned butter factory in rural Australia, get a crisp live recording of your next gig or get an album out in your garage, 1000Hz Recordings can sort you out.
Home or Live Recording or Mixing?
1000Hz Recordings means you don’t have to risk your money and time booking a big studio or working with unfamiliar gear and surroundings. Feel comfortable in being part of the process.
Forget ‘red light fever’
Forget pushy engineers
Forget confusing technical jargon
Get it on the level and let Branko help you out at your place.
Branko has been working in and around the record industry for fifteen years (not to mention 20 years playing in bands). Born and bred on Australian DIY, he has amassed a know-how from the ground up. Comfortable working on anything from professional desks in a big studio to a two-channel PA at a house gig, Branko has experienced the lot.
Some of his credits include:
Live recording and mixing for broadcast (4ZzZ Woodford Folk Festival and Live Delay, including sets from Violent Soho, Harmony, Emma Louise, Velociraptor, Blank Realm and more…)
Live sound at venues across Brisbane (from the Waiting Room to Woodland and elsewhere)
Home Studio Recording & Mixing (including DZ Deathrays, Kellie Lloyd, The Belligerents, and AMP-nominated album ‘Chipper’ by Tape/Off)
Branko is a respected figure in the Brisbane music scene. He has organised national tours, toured nationally with his own bands, and currently presents ‘Unnecessary Knowledge from 1-4pm, Friday afternoon on 4ZZZ .
1000Hz Recordings is the latest venture for a dude whose life continues to be steeped in a love for underground, DIY music.
Airlock Studios was founded in 1996 and is a world-standard recording studio on a bush property in the peaceful surrounds of the Samford Valley on Brisbane’s outskirts. One of the original people that started the studio was Ian Haug (powderfinger/the church/the predators) and his vision of the studio has developed over the last 23 years to what it is today. The studio continues to attract local, interstate and international clients who come and bunker down. Recording technology has evolved exponentially since 1998, and musicians and engineers can make recordings in their bedroom or anywhere they can take their laptop, but Haug believes a well-equipped professional studio will always play a vital role in bringing the best out of a band or solo artist. Haug knows that great gear is essential to the creative experience, with a wide choice of top-range amplifiers, mics, effects pedals, grand and upright pianos, Wurlitzer electric piano and Hammond organ with Leslie speaker.
If playing live is essential to the sound, bands can play together in the main studio room, eyeball to eyeball or just enjoying the changing light outside as they play. If crafting and layering is just as important, that is at their fingertips too. The studio is based on a 32 I/O Pro Tools HDX System with AMEK Rupert Neve-designed console.
An all-weather deck is a new addition so musicians can recharge and relax between takes. Accommodation is available on-site too.
Opening Hours
Daily 10am-8pm; Inquire online. Bookings are essential.

"AWARD WINNING BEER THAT HASN’T BEEN TO BUSINESS SCHOOL."
At All Inn Brewing Co you won’t find any fizzy formulaic lager. They only make full flavoured ales that are free from additives, unfiltered, unpasteurised and finings free. Just like the All Inn beers, their 16 Hectoliter brewery was handcrafted by head brewer Harley Goodacre. Harley learnt his craft at Stewart Brewing Co. in Scotland under Lewis Scothern and Iain Couper, Stewart’s head brewer. Starting as a bottling hand, he progressed to learn all aspects of the brewing process. On returning to Australia in 2011, he was employed as head brewer at The Sunshine Coast Brewery where he worked until relocation to Brisbane to embark on the seven month project of building the All Inn Brewing Co brewery. All Inn Brewing Co embrace their commitment to the Environment. In every aspect of the brewing process, they strive to be as environmentally responsible as possible. Where possible, they recycle and reuse our waste water, provide our spent grain to local farmers for cattle feed and our hops to local gardeners as fertiliser.

AS Accounting itself is a small accountancy practice, serving the needs of individuals, business proprietors, clubs, and associations.
Part and parcel of operating a business is being part of a community, and we are no different. We support a number of school-based work experience programs and we are also a proud supporter of community radio station 4ZZZ.
The whole may well be greater than the sum of its parts - but the parts are still important!
At AS Accounting, the "parts" are the people that make up the practice. The founding members of the firm are Practice Principal Anthony Rutherford and Bookkeeper Extraordinaire Suzanne Dark (now the “AS” makes sense, doesn’t it?). Anthony and Suzanne have both been active in the accounting profession for well over 25 years.
They have traveled quite different professional roads over those 25-odd years, and this provides AS Accounting with a wide skills set to apply to the taxation and accountancy needs of our clients.
Granted, we may not boast a cast of thousands, but we certainly have the expertise to look after your accounting and taxation needs!

Blank is the Gold Coast’s independent cultural voice – a monthly street press dedicated to dishing up the best of the Gold Coast’s music, art, food, culture and more.
Driven by a genuine desire to tell the stories of the people who make the Gold Coast awesome, we try to keep things as simple as possible by affecting change as efficiently as we can.
Launched in print in December 2013, we have grown our community to include around 16,500 readers (in print) every month, with an additional 15-20,000 online. In the past 12 months we believe we have reached around 10% of the Gold Coast population on our web statistics alone. But our reach goes further than that.
With a writing team that includes novice, amateur and emerging writers as well as experienced music, culture and lifestyle journalists and a management team with a strong belief in community engagement, we are proud to be Gold Coast and we are fiercely independent.
Who we are Blank was founded by two mothers, Samantha Morris and Chloe Popa. Sick to death of the boring stereotypes associated with the Gold Coast, we decided to take matters into our own hands – to capture the best bits of the Gold Coast to share them with people who care about community and culture.

Australian bag brand founded in Melbourne in 1995. We make bags for people who appreciate quality and great product design.
It’s 1992. A young man sits hunched over his grandmother’s old sewing machine in a shed in Ballarat, Australia. He’s trying to sew through a truck tarp to make a bag strong enough to carry a slab of beer home on his bike. Crumpler is born.
The principles behind the pattern have remained the same – simplicity, a willingness to experiment, original design, and a determination to make the best bag possible for people who know how to live.
Adventurers, photographers, riders, designers, makers, thinkers, doers. Crumpler, bags for life.

For us, working at the Guitar Centre is more than just a job – it’s a passion. We hope that this comes across in the way we do business, because it’s our love for guitars and music that still keeps us getting out of bed every day.
One of the first things we do when people come into the shop is to try to get to know them, and to understand what they are trying to achieve. So here’s a little bit about us and the way we do things, so you know where we’re coming from.
We test and fine-tune every guitar we sell, from the affordable beginner models through to the top-level professional ones. We are one of the only stores in the country that does this, and are able to do so thanks to our experienced luthier and shop staff.
Going into a guitar store can be daunting, and not just for first-time guitar buyers. Our staff are friendly, approachable and understanding. We understand that choosing a guitar is a very intimate process – we won’t try to sell you anything you don’t want or need.
We love helping people demo guitars, we love talking about guitars and we love finding new homes for guitars. We’ll give you time to bond with your instrument, both in the store and after you’ve taken it home. If you’re not feeling it, bring it back in and let us know why, and we’ll either work on the guitar or help you find something more suitable.
When you come to The Guitar Centre, you’re not just getting a salesperson pulling something off a rack and ringing it up in the till. You’re getting a deep, passionate level of knowledge and expertise, and a true dedication to finding the right match for you, whether it’s your first guitar or your hundredth.
So take a look through our online catalogue or come in for a chat and we’ll help you find the next six-stringed love of your life!

My name is Dean and I'm the owner of The Inker Tattoo Studio, please take time to look through our site and I'm sure you will see we have set the studio up a little differently to other shops. I wanted to create an open inviting space with loads of natural light, that even if you wanted to see what a tattoo studio looked like inside before you walk in you can. You can look through thousands of tattoo flash designs on our computers or bring in your own design, or we are more than happy to sit with you and come up with your very own custom piece. We look forward to meeting anyone interested in getting tattooed, so no matter if your a serious tattoo collector or your very first time in a tattoo studio, we invite you to come on in see what we're doing and have a chat about your next (or first) tattoo. Make sure you check out our specials page it might just save you a few dollars.
